Role Overview Position Type: Full-time fixed term contract Start Date: Term 3, 2026 (July) Location: Melbourne's West Suburbs Year Level: Prep Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions. Role Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, play-based and structured lessons for Prep students aligned to the Victorian Curriculum Implement evidence-based practices including Visible Learning and the Science of Reading to build early literacy and numeracy foundations Create a warm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports children in their first year of school Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting in line with college requirements Build positive, trusting relationships with students, families and the broader school community Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning About You You're a qualified teacher who: Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply) Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing How to Get Started Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching career?
